Transit village workshops
Staff report
NORTH BRUNSWICK TOD Associates LLC, the owner of a 212-acre property along Route 1 in North Brunswick, will host two community workshops tomorrow and Jan. 18, both from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The events will take place at the Yellowbird Reception Center at 2300 U.S. Highway 1, off Aaron Road. The workshops are open to the public.
Tomorrow's workshop will focus on the Fiscal Impact Study, which will discuss school and municipal tax revenues, municipal costs, school enrollment, demographics and economic benefits associated with the proposed North Brunswick Transit Village. David Listokin, Ph.D., from the Center for Urban Policy Research of Rutgers University, prepared the study and will be the featured speaker at the workshop.
The Jan. 18 workshop will focus on the Traffic Impact Study, outlining the traffic improvements that will happen as a result of the transit village. Daniel Disario, professional engineer from Langan Engineering & Environmental Services, prepared the study and will be the featured speaker for this workshop.
An informational video, "Arriving at the Future — Imagine a North Brunswick Transit Village," will be shown at the beginning of both workshops.
